ONE STANDARD.
A FAMILY TRADE. NOT JUST A BUSINESS.
Three generations.
Same family.
Same county.
It started with a grandfather who framed houses the hard way, passed to a father who ran his own crew, and now to John — the third generation. What changed across those years is the tools and the building codes. What stayed the same is the name on the truck and the standard behind it.
John runs the crew and serves with the Silverton Fire Department. The kind of commitment to neighbors that doesn’t turn off at five o’clock. When he walks your home, you’re talking to the owner, not a salesman.
3rd Gen General Contracting is a family contractor serving homeowners across Ocean County. Remodeling and construction are personal decisions, and our role is to help you understand the work before you make one.
From the first walk-through to the final details, the goal is straightforward: a home that works better for your family, and a project you can follow along the way.

What we will never do.
We will not abandon the job
We finish what we start. You get a schedule and a name to call when you have a question.
No surprise change orders
Changes go in writing, with a price, before the work changes. Nothing gets added to your bill quietly.
Your calls get returned
Usually the same day. The owner answers to his family name, not a call center.
